On Tuesday, 18th June, the Sears-Davies team joined the London Legal Support Trust and over 18,000 walkers for the 2025 London Legal Walk, making it the biggest in the event's 21-year history.
The 10km route through central London and its Royal Parks wasn't just a scenic stroll but a collective stride supporting free legal advice services that help thousands of people facing homelessness, debt, discrimination, and injustice.
This year's walk was once again a huge success, raising almost £1,000,000 (and still counting!) to support more than 100 legal advice charities. These funds are vital in keeping local advice centres running and ensuring vulnerable people can access the legal help they need.
It was a fantastic team-building experience, allowing us to spend time away from our desks and take in some of London's iconic sights. Along the way, we passed historic landmarks and leafy parks and enjoyed the uplifting atmosphere created by thousands of like-minded walkers.
Of course, no walk through the capital would be complete without an unexpected moment. Ours: the surreal sight of two pelicans building a nest on a park bench in the middle of St. James's Park! We stopped for some much-needed iced coffees and lollies, which kept us going for the final stretch.
For us at Sears-Davies, taking part is more than just fundraising. It's a meaningful way to stand alongside the legal community, to champion access to justice, and to support the remarkable work of the organisations that make a real difference in people's lives every day.
We are incredibly proud to have participated (blisters and all!) and grateful to the London Legal Support Trust and the volunteers. It was a fantastic afternoon, and we are already looking forward to next year's walk.
